Watch My Terrible Video

I hope you and your loved ones are well, that you are bearing up under this national emergency, and that cabin fever is your biggest immediate worry.

As the world turns to video conferencing to carry out “social distancing” versions of journalism, business, and socializing, I’m noticing all kinds of easily preventable mistakes. In fact, the video I have attached below is full of mistakes.

And they are my own.

Now, to be fair, my mistakes are intentional (no, really!). And I made them to help you avoid them, whether you’re doing Skype interviews on CNN, holding virtual meetings with colleagues, or checking in on mom from your laptop.

Now truth be told, if I had this one to do over again I’d probably shave, and wheel the BBQ off the patio in the background (thanks for your comments about both!). I never said I was perfect; I’m just living through a pandemic and trying not to be a Media Disaster.
